Pardee Center for the Longer-Range Future\u2019s\u00a0project,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/pardee\/research\/madisonparkproject\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cEnhancing Energy Efficiency for Urban Housing\u201d<\/span><\/a>,\u00a0last month received renewed support from Wells Fargo\u00a0to fund\u00a0its ongoing\u00a0research.\u00a0The\u00a0project aims\u00a0to identify the factors that drive energy use and determine effective programs that can achieve greater energy efficiency, while considering residents\u2019 comfort levels and desired energy-use needs.\u00a0The new funds will allow for the implementation of strategies to improve energy efficiency and quality of life at <a href=\"http:\/\/madison-park.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span class=\"s1\">Madison Park Development Corporation<\/span><\/a>, as well as lay the groundwork for future collaboration with other local affordable housing providers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The multidisciplinary effort involves professors across departments: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/pardee\/michael-gevelber\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span class=\"s1\">Prof. Michael Gevelber<\/span><\/a> from the College of Engineering, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/pardee\/community\/nalin-kulatilaka\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span class=\"s1\">Prof. Nalin Kulatilaka<\/span><\/a> from the Questrom School of Business, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/pardee\/community\/robert-k-kaufmann\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span class=\"s1\">Prof. Robert Kaufmann<\/span><\/a> from CAS\u2019 Earth and Environment department, and research assistant <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/pardee\/community\/staff\/marta-marello\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span class=\"s1\">Marta Marello<\/span><\/a> (GRS \u201913). The project is currently based at the Frederick S.
