  • CISE is organizing the Best Student Paper Competition as part of the annual CISE Graduate Student Workshop 7.0.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Entrants will be judged using a dual student\/faculty evaluation process.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Finalists are required to present their papers during the sessions at the CGSW 7.0 event.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Winner will be recognized with the Best Paper Award at the BU Castle reception. Awards will also be presented to the top selected finalists based upon their paper submission.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n

  • CISE will once again host the Best Student Presenter Competition at CGSW.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Entrants will be judged by the CGSW 7.0 organizing committee.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Winner will be recognized with the Best Presenter Award at the BU Castle reception. Awards will also be presented to the top selected finalists.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Eligibility Criteria<\/span><\/h3>\n
    \n
  1. The\u00a0paper\u00a0must represent original research conducted primarily by the student.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. While other authors may be listed on the paper, the student must have contributed the majority of the effort presented (advisors will be asked to certify the student\u2019s majority effort).<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. The paper must have been published or accepted for publication at a journal or conference within the past 24 months.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Papers posted on arxiv.org are not acceptable for submission.<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. A full-length paper must be officially submitted via the web in pdf format.<\/span><\/li>\n
  6. Papers must include\u00a0three key words<\/em>.<\/span><\/li>\n
  7. Each student can only enter one paper in this competition.<\/span><\/li>\n
  8. If the student\u2019s paper is selected among finalists, s\/he must present his or her paper during the assigned session at the CGSW 7.0 event.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/td>\n

Eligibility Criteria<\/span><\/h3>\n

  1. Each student speaker will have 12 minutes to present, with an additional 3 minutes dedicated for\u00a0 Q&A.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. The abstract must represent original research conducted primarily by the student.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Speaker abstracts should include\u00a0three key words<\/em>.<\/o:p><\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Abstracts should be submitted in PDF or MS Word format.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

  1. Significance and impact of work<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Creativity and innovation<\/span><\/li>\n

  4. Articulacy in writing and presentation<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. Relevance to information and systems engineering, broadly defined.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/td>\n
