Her publications include<span>\u00a0<\/span><em>Femmes rebelles: naissance d\u2019un nouveau roman africain au f\u00e9minin<\/em><span>\u00a0<\/span>(L\u2019Harmattan, Paris 1996),<span>\u00a0<\/span><em>Afrique sur Seine. Une nouvelle g\u00e9n\u00e9ration de romanciers africains \u00e0 Paris<\/em><span>\u00a0<\/span>(L\u2019Harmattan, 2003)\u2013both are available in translation (<em>Rebellious Women<\/em><span>\u00a0<\/span>(Lynne Rienner, 1999), and<em><span>\u00a0<\/span>Afrique sur Seine<\/em><span>\u00a0<\/span><em>A New Generation of African Writers in Paris<\/em>; (Lexington Books, 2005)), and<span>\u00a0<\/span><em>Contemporary Francophone African Writers and the Burden of Commitment<span>\u00a0<\/span><\/em>(University of Virginia Press, 2011, co-written with Patricia Celerier, Vassar College)<em>.<\/em><span>\u00a0<\/span>She has edited and co-edited a number of special issues for different journals:<span>\u00a0<\/span><em>Pr\u00e9sence Francophone<\/em><span>\u00a0<\/span>58, \u2018Francophonies, Ecritures et Immigration;\u2019 with writer and philosopher, Tanella Boni,<span>\u00a0<\/span><em>Cultures Sud<\/em>, 172<span>\u00a0<\/span><em>L\u2019engagement au f\u00e9minin;<span>\u00a0<\/span><\/em><em>with Patricia C\u00e9l\u00e9rier,<\/em><span>\u00a0<\/span><em>Pr\u00e9sence Francophone<\/em><span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00abVingt ans apr\u00e8s le g\u00e9nocide des Tutsi du Rwanda\u00a0: regards sur la production artistique\u00bb, (PF 85, December 2015) and<span>\u00a0<\/span><em>Nouvelles Etudes Francophones<\/em>, (NEF33.1, 2018) on African and Afro-diasporic documentaries. She has written on a large number of Francophone writers and a wide range of topics related to gender and sexuality, post memory, the local and the global, art from trauma, the diaspora, as well as issues of displacement, migration, and citizenship in a global world. Her most recent publications include articles on Indian Ocean Literature, film, and globalization; on writers and filmmakers such as:\u00a0 Assia Djebar,\u00a0 Khady Sylla, Ananda Devi, Kivu Ruhorahoza, Fabienne and Veronique Kanor, V\u00e9ronique Tadjo, Raharimanana and Sami Tchak.<\/p>\n<p>She directed the Section African Literature for the<span>\u00a0<\/span><em>Dictionnaire universel des cr\u00e9atrices<\/em><span>\u00a0<\/span>(Editions des Femmes, 2013) and has been contributing to the series Litt\u00e9rAfrique (at Hachette International) geared to junior high and high school students in Francophone African countries, especially with an Anthology of the short story in African literature. She is one of the Editors of<span>\u00a0<\/span><em>JALA, the Journal of the African Literature Association.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Odile Cazenave has held visiting appointments at Brown University, Harvard University, M.I.T., Wellesley College, and has taught in the Graduate Consortium in Women\u2019s Studies.
