Program<span>\u00a0<\/span>participants are responsible for securing your own internship placemen<strong>t<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>and for completing an application in the semester prior to taking CAS IN 299.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/humanities\/opportunities\/undergrads\/undergrad-internships\/\">BUCH Undergraduate Internship in the Humanities<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This summer internship program is open to all students majoring or minoring in a CAS Humanities program. One of the partner organizations is the Brattle Film Foundation in Cambridge, MA.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mfa.org\/working-at-the-mfa\/internships\">Museum of Fine Arts Boston Student Internship<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span>The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, invites college and university students to participate in the life of the Museum through the MFA Pathways internship program. Through semester-long undergraduate-level paid internships in departments across the institution, MFA Pathways interns gain hands-on training in specific museum roles, participate in professional development to learn about a range of museum careers and practices, and build professional networks on which to draw in advancing career aspirations.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"bu_collapsible_container \" aria-live=\"polite\" data-customize-animation=\"false\"><h2 class=\"bu_collapsible\" aria-expanded=\"false\"tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\">Research<\/h2><div class=\"bu_collapsible_section\" style=\"display: none;\"><\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/urop\/\">Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program\u00a0<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>UROP\u00a0provides research stipends, on a competitive basis, each semester and summer.<\/p>\n<p>Types of Funding Include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-gc-list-depth=\"1\" data-gc-list-style=\"bullet\">Stipend Awards: paid directly to the student as taxable income<\/li>\n<li data-gc-list-depth=\"1\" data-gc-list-style=\"bullet\">Supplies Awards: provided to the mentor\u2019s department to cover project supplies<\/li>\n<li data-gc-list-depth=\"1\" data-gc-list-style=\"bullet\">Travel Awards: reimbursement for research- or conference-related travel expenses<\/li>\n<li data-gc-list-depth=\"1\" data-gc-list-style=\"bullet\">Humanities Scholars Awards: stipend and supplies for students conducting research in the humanities<\/li>\n<li data-gc-list-depth=\"1\" data-gc-list-style=\"bullet\">Housing Supplement: $1000 toward summer housing, limited number of awards available for students with the greatest financial need<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Honors in the Major<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>CIMS students can receive honors in the major by completing an honors thesis project their senior year. This opportunity is flexible and open to the interests and goals of the student.
