This included discussions with the department\u2019s staff, students, faculty, and other relevant departments. By gathering insights from those directly involved with or impacted by the department partner, the team was able to gain a holistic understanding of the current challenges and opportunities.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Benchmarking Against Peer Institutions<\/span><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">To provide a comparative perspective, the CIDA team benchmarked the BU department against six peer institutions. This benchmarking exercise helped identify best practices and innovative solutions that could be adopted by the department to enhance its services.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Data Analysis<\/span><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">A major component of most CIDA projects is the gathering and analysis of data. The team analyzed various data sources\u00a0to identify trends already in use by the department.
