{"id":21413,"date":"2020-10-22T10:21:48","date_gmt":"2020-10-22T14:21:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/chemistry\/?post_type=profile&#038;p=21413"},"modified":"2023-05-18T14:43:17","modified_gmt":"2023-05-18T18:43:17","slug":"binyomin-abrams","status":"publish","type":"profile","link":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/chemistry\/profile\/binyomin-abrams\/","title":{"rendered":"Binyomin Abrams"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3 style=\"font-family: sans-serif;\">Research<\/h3>\n<p>The Abrams group\u2019s research in chemical education is focused three main areas: (1) novel approaches to teaching introductory chemistry; (2) understanding and improving the translation of skills between chemistry courses; and (3) effective incorporation of educational technology in chemistry courses.<\/p>\n<p>Active projects include: (1) studying the effectiveness of question-embedded videos as out-of-class resources, (2) developing and assessing novel programs to support students in transitions between chemistry courses, and (3) working with high school teachers to improve the instruction of atomic theory in K-12 schools.
