Rigidly square-planar\u00a0<\/span><strong>2<\/strong><span>\u00a0has an intermediate-spin,\u00a0<\/span><em>S<\/em><span>\u00a0= 1, ground state and very large zero-field splitting (ZFS) with\u00a0<\/span><em>D<\/em><span>\u00a0= 67.2 cm<\/span><small><sup>\u22121<\/sup><\/small><span>; |<\/span><em>E<\/em><span>| = 18.0 cm<\/span><small><sup>\u22121<\/sup><\/small><span>, (<\/span><em>E<\/em><span>\/<\/span><em>D<\/em><span>\u00a0= 0.27),\u00a0<\/span><em>g<\/em><small><sub>\u22a5<\/sub><\/small><span>\u00a0= 2.10,\u00a0<\/span><em>g<\/em><small><sub>\u2016<\/sub><\/small><span>\u00a0= 2.25 and\u00a0<\/span><em>\u03c7<\/em><small><sub>TIP<\/sub><\/small><span>\u00a0= 1950 \u00d7 10<\/span><small><sup>\u22126<\/sup><\/small><span>\u00a0cm<\/span><small><sup>3<\/sup><\/small><span>\u00a0mol<\/span><small><sup>\u22121<\/sup><\/small><span>.
