Below are links to videos that discuss all of the tricks and tips that we would have wanted to know before we started making videos! <\/span><\/p>\n<p>There are <em>four<\/em> main steps (and tools) that we follow when making videos:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Planning<\/strong> is the most important part of making an effective video.  &#8220;Post-production&#8221; is not nearly as important as pre-production (planning a scripting).  The following webinar covers many important parts of the planning and scripting process: <a href=\"https:\/\/echo360.org\/media\/8c50776d-5265-4c09-887a-00914d453381\/public\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Webinar on Planning Videos<\/a>.\n<li>We record our videos using <a href=\"https:\/\/explaineverything.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Explain Everything<\/strong><\/a> (no, they aren&#8217;t compensating us for the endorsement). Explain Everything is powerful and complex &#8212; that is both a big advantage and a significant challenge. The following webinar covers a lot of the tools offered by Explain Everything and some practical examples: <a href=\"https:\/\/echo360.org\/media\/c28a039c-2fa1-4f52-bd63-da3df2237136\/public\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Webinar on Explain Everything<\/a> (and <a href=\"https:\/\/echo360.org\/media\/bb05b2c4-937d-4e94-bd79-77973205c992\/public\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">another webinar on Explain Everything<\/a>).\n<li>Pre-production is most important, but you may want to also do a little post. We&#8217;re Mac people and so we use <strong>iMovie<\/strong>. The following webinar covers how to do some basic post-processing that makes a big difference: <a href=\"https:\/\/echo360.org\/media\/17e671aa-4187-4102-8627-89e701b2feed\/public\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Webinar on iMovie<\/a>.\n<li>Videos are great. Videos with embedded active-learning are better. We use <strong>Edpuzzle<\/strong> to take our video lessons to the next level.  Also, it&#8217;s free.
