But to achieve our long-range goals, we need your help. That&#8217;s why BU Athletics seeks to raise $45 million in private donations.<\/p>\n<p>Of that total, we aim to devote $25 million to upgrading and expanding our athletic facilities, $10 million to endowing coaching positions and scholarships for student-athletes, and $10 million to increasing our teams\u2019 annual operating budgets\u2014for travel, student services, equipment, and other daily needs.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/trusted.bu.edu\/s\/1759\/2-bu\/index.aspx?sid=1759&#038;gid=2&#038;pgid=410&#038;cid=1042&#038;appealcode=WEBATH\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/changingthegame\/files\/2012\/12\/give-athletics.png\" alt=\"give-athletics\" title=\"give-athletics\" width=\"201\" height=\"37\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-5419\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<div style=\"clear:both;\"><\/div>\n<hr \/>\n<p>For Terrier Athletics, this is a time of opportunity. We are entering a new league, launching new sports, and soon opening a major new athletic facility. We are not content to merely keep up with our rivals. We want to redefine success by <a href=\"\/changingthegame\/why-give-ath\/backing-student-athletes\/\">empowering our student-athletes<\/a> to achieve their goals in athletics, academics, and community.
