I have always enjoyed talking with people and getting to know more about them as individuals. For the past nineteen years as an Academic Advisor and developmental counselor at CGS, I have used my own diverse background, professional experience, and interests to help students navigate a smooth transition to college. I thoroughly enjoy getting to know students on an individual basis and assisting them in building both positive and meaningful connections to Boston University and CGS academic advising. I am dedicated to the idea of using academic advising practices that work to encourage, assist, and support student exploration of their academic interests and career goals, and all the amazing possibilities and options Boston University has to offer.

My professional interests include: social work education, partnerships between the public and private sectors that support higher education opportunities for at risk youth, and working with economically disadvantaged minority communities.

My personal interests include: music, music performance and fine arts. I am an avid collector of Blues and Jazz records and vintage guitar amplifiers.
