Each year, Boston University recognizes the leadership and achievements of student athletes at the Rhettys Awards, when BU Athletics commends students for athletics, academics, and community service. This year, CGS alumni took home the top awards for male and female athletes.

Men’s hockey player Jordan Greenway (CGS’17, CAS’19) received the Gordon “Mickey” Cochrane Award, presented to BU’s top male athlete. Greenway represented the United States in the Olympics this winter– the first African American to play on Team USA Hockey– and signed a deal with the Minnesota Wild in March.

Two CGS alumni took home the Mildred Barnes Award, given annually to BU’s top female athlete: women’s hockey’s Victoria Bach (CGS’16, COM’18) and field hockey’s Ally Hammel (CGS’17, Sargent’19).

CGS alumni also received awards in the Athlete Choice Awards categories:
