The topic addressed at this annual meeting was &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/journals.sagepub.com\/doi\/full\/10.1177\/2396939317699793\" target=\"_blank\">Migration, Exile, and Pilgrimage in the History of Missions and World Christianity<\/a>.&#8221; It was the largest gathering in the group&#8217;s history, which included a significant contingent from Boston University. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/cgcm\/research-associates\/current-students\/\" target=\"_blank\">Michele Sigg<\/a> presented on &#8220;Women Missionaries, Intercultural Marriage, and Exile: Desert or Promised Land for the Early Work of the Lesotho Mission?&#8221; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/cgcm\/research-associates\/current-students\/\" target=\"_blank\">Daryl Ireland<\/a> delivered a paper on &#8220;Migration and Conversion: An Exploration in the Journals of John Sung.&#8221; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/cgcm\/research-associates\/current-students\/\" target=\"_blank\">Tyler Lenocker<\/a> spoke about &#8220;The Impact of Post-World War II Immigration on American Evangelical Christianity in Boston.&#8221; The Center for Global Christianity &amp; Mission was also able to announce that the <a href=\"http:\/\/sites.bu.edu\/shonareligion\/\" target=\"_blank\">Old &amp; New in Shona Religion<\/a> website is complete, and that the <a href=\"http:\/\/dacb.org\" target=\"_blank\">Dictionary of African Christian Biography<\/a> is being upgraded.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/cgcm\/y-e2017_photo\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-8681\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/cgcm\/files\/2017\/07\/Y-E2017_photo-1024x559.jpg\" alt=\"Y-E2017_photo\" width=\"1024\" height=\"559\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-8681 size-large\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/cgcm\/files\/2017\/07\/Y-E2017_photo-1024x559.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/cgcm\/files\/2017\/07\/Y-E2017_photo-550x300.jpg 550w, https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/cgcm\/files\/2017\/07\/Y-E2017_photo-768x419.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>June 29 &#8211; July 1, the Yale-Edinburgh Group on the History of Christian Mission and World Christianity met in New Haven, Connecticut.
