The theme of this year\u2019s meeting was \u201cResponses to Missions: Appropriations, Revisions, and Rejections.\u201d Approximately eighty global scholars gathered for the meeting.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/cgcm\/files\/2016\/07\/Yale-Edinburgh-2016-Group-Photo.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/cgcm\/files\/2016\/07\/Yale-Edinburgh-2016-Group-Photo-452x300.jpg\" alt=\"Yale-Edinburgh-2016-Group-Photo\" class=\"  wp-image-7755 aligncenter\" height=\"284\" width=\"427\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/cgcm\/files\/2016\/07\/Yale-Edinburgh-2016-Group-Photo-452x300.jpg 452w, https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/cgcm\/files\/2016\/07\/Yale-Edinburgh-2016-Group-Photo-1024x680.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 427px) 100vw, 427px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This year, two CGCM students presented their papers at the meeting. Laura Chevalier, Ph.D candidate at the Boston University School of Theology, gave a presentation on her paper, \u201cSpirit-Filled homes and kids: how nurture and revivals at Mukti mission schools and Assiout orphanage contributed to the spread of global Pentecostalism,\u201d and Younghwa Kim, M.Div graduate, presented his research on \u201cAhmadi Muslims\u2019 response to Christian missions in Northern India and the expansion of Ahmadiyya in Africa.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/cgcm\/files\/2016\/07\/20160624_175756.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/cgcm\/files\/2016\/07\/20160624_175756-459x300.jpg\" alt=\"20160624_175756\" class=\"  wp-image-7764 aligncenter\" height=\"278\" width=\"425\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/cgcm\/files\/2016\/07\/20160624_175756-459x300.jpg 459w, https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/cgcm\/files\/2016\/07\/20160624_175756-1024x669.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 425px) 100vw, 425px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Yale-Edinburgh Group held its meeting at New College, the University of Edinburgh from June 23 to June 25, 2016.
