International Missionary Council Centenary Conference

  • Starts: 3:30 am on Tuesday, November 16, 2021
  • Ends: 12:15 pm on Thursday, November 18, 2021
One hundred years ago, the International Missionary Council was formed. It was a major milestone in ecumenism and missionary cooperation. On its 100th anniversary, the Commission on World Mission and Evangelism is holding a three-day online conference. One hundred years later, what does cooperation look like among Christians and how are they joining together in mission? Besides three plenary sessions, which will include a presentation from Prof. Dana L. Robert, there will be eight regional reports. The North American report has been organized by the Center for Global Christianity and Mission. Other research centers in Asia, Africa, the Caribbean, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, and Oceania will address what mission and collaboration looks like in those parts of the world. This is an opportunity to hear what is happening globally. The North American Region will offer its presentation on Nov. 17th at 11:15am.
