Photonics Center: Symposium on Optics for Cancer Imaging
December 07, 2016
The Boston University Photonics Center is hosting the 20th annual Photonics Center Symposium on December 7, 2016 on the topic of Optics for Cancer Imaging. Professor Darren Roblyer will serve as chair of the conference. Renowned researchers from academia will lead presentations.
The symposium brings together cutting-edge researchers using light in new and innovative ways at the frontiers of cancer biology and oncology, including diagnostics, prognostics, and treatment. The symposium spans intravital structural and functional microscopy and spectroscopy at the cellular and sub-cellular level, to wide-field and deep tissue imaging using diffuse optical techniques and endogenous imaging, to the development of new molecularly targeted optical probes and photoactivated therapies for a variety of tumor types and organ sites.
The symposium features a day of presentations, a buffet lunch, and an evening reception and research poster session. Presentations will be conducted by leading researchers from outside academic institutions and Boston University. The symposium is completely free of cost for all registrants.
