These form an integral part of our services, particularly with regards to departments with large sponsored research programs.<\/p>\n<p>During vertical reviews we:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work with you to understand your environment, objectives, key processes and controls<\/li>\n<li>Using a risk-based approach, perform an objective review of the key processes and controls in place within your department<\/li>\n<li>Test the adequacy and effectiveness of the controls in place<\/li>\n<li>Identify and provide recommendations that help strengthen controls and\/or process efficiencies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"Default\"><a href=\"\/cfo\/files\/2020\/02\/Process-vs-Department.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/cfo\/files\/2020\/02\/Process-vs-Department-409x300.png\" alt=\"Process Vs.
