Applicants should demonstrate a strong commitment to promoting empathy, inclusion, and social justice in their teaching practice.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We will have separate tracks for primary, middle, and high school teachers. At the end of the workshop, all participants will get an opportunity to engage with each other and share their experiences.\u00a0 Through a blend of lectures, workshops, hands-on learning opportunities, and interactive discussions, participants will:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Gain an understanding of the causes, consequences, and dynamics of forced displacement<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Explore teaching methodologies and identify gaps in the area of forced displacement in the classroom<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Work with CFD to develop resources to engage students on topics related to forced displacement\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Develop best practices on how to provide a nurturing and inclusive classroom for students affected by forced displacement\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Connect with experts, practitioners, and fellow educators to exchange ideas, share methodologies, and build a supportive network<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Earn a certificate of completion\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To apply, please submit the following documents:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> CV or resume\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> A brief statement outlining your motivation for participating in the workshop\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Please submit materials to <\/span><a href=\"mailto:cfd@bu.edu\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">cfd@bu.edu<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> by April 1, 2024.
