The magazine, published quarterly, will bring together a variety of original works across disciplines in a peer-reviewed publication that examines the global challenge of forced displacement through a multi-faceted lens. We welcome contributions from any field, perspective, or style exploring themes related to forced displacement for Volume 3 of CFD Magazine.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>We are interested in a wide range of types of writing and genres, including, but not limited to:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><span>Original essays and perspectives (3000 words or less)<\/span><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><span>Book reviews<\/span><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><span>Op-Eds (800 words or less)<\/span><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><span>Original artwork<\/span><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><span>Poetry<\/span><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><span>Short stories<\/span><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><span>Photographs<\/span><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><span>Mixed-genre pieces<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Please review our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.criticalforceddisplacement.com\/about\/#submissions\">submission guidelines<\/a> (below) prior to submitting your piece.<\/p>\n<p><span>Please submit your piece by <\/span><b><i>March 1st, 2026 <\/i><\/b>for anticipated launch in April of 2026<span>. We will consider submissions from scholars, practitioners, artists, advocates, policymakers, and concerned citizens, regardless of current publication status, university or professional affiliation, career stage, or manner of university affiliation (student vs faculty\/staff status).\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<a href='https:\/\/www.criticalforceddisplacement.com\/about\/#submissions' class='button '>Submit Here<\/a>\n<h3><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Submission Guidelines<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Critical Forced Displacement <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">is dedicated to amplifying voices and stories related to forced displacement. Our publication seeks narrative-driven contributions that highlight the diverse experiences and perspectives of displaced people, and engage the full complexity of this pressing global issue via reflection, art, and argument. We accept submissions for both our semi-annual print publication and our online platform, and publish a variety of non-scholarly formats.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4>Submission Types<\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We welcome contributions in the following formats. Please clarify the contribution type when submitting, and make sure that your piece adheres to our guidelines. We seek to elevate fresh perspectives from young thinkers and artists from a variety of personal, educational, and disciplinary backgrounds. Submissions should not be recycled academic essays from coursework, but certainly can be adapted and revised from those origins. Contributors will work closely with a <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">CFD <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">editor to refine their personal essay, fiction, poetry, reflection piece, or op-ed on migration or displacement and publish them to a wider audience.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Submission Windows<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: Emerging voices submissions are accepted on a year-round, rolling basis.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Content<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: Emerging voices submissions do not need to adhere to a specific theme.
