Week 1

Day 2, July 18, 2023  – Theme: A Brief History of WB Migration Patterns  – Policies and Current Day Challenges 

  • Seminar 1: Serbia as a country of origin (UNHCR perspectives) and “old refugees”
  • Seminar 2: Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina  – EU relations and its implications regarding borders and migration
  • Activity 1: Introduction of group work/projects

Day 3, July 19, 2023  – Theme: “Balkan Route” in Context 

  • Workshop 1: Mapping Migration Routes to the EU
  • Seminar 1: “Migration Crisis” and the Balkan Route – Government Response
  • Activity 1: Game Day 2 –  Solidarity and Local Response in Belgrade: Activist Perspectives
