a. Refugee Narratives: Testimony and Translation b. Curating the Border: A Workshop and Exhibition Narratives impact how the “other” is perceived and justify border control policies and regimes that emerge. They have the power to shape attitudes and decide if someone will be accepted or rejected by the host community and under what pretenses. Stories and art, however, also have the power to connect individuals and prompt powerful social and political changes. In this closing workshop, we will discuss the role of art and storytelling in border regimes and the resistance to these same regimes.
