A space where world-renowned artists exhibit their work. Where BU School of Visual Arts students have the opportunity to showcase their thesis work. Painting. Sculpture. Photography. Comics. Prints. Fiber Arts. That&#8217;s <strong>BU&#8217;s Faye G., Jo, and James Stone Gallery<\/strong>.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"headline-1\" class=\"wp-block-editorial-headline\">A gallery for all.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/art\/\" target=\"_blank\">BU Art Galleries<\/a> is committed to a culturally inclusive and interdisciplinary interpretation of art and culture. Stone Gallery&#8217;s exhibitions have explored race, identity, and inequity of wealth and power around the world, where featured artists celebrate their heritage in their works. Other exhibitions have focused on landscape, perception, women&#8217;s rights, and one posed the question, &#8220;why does one return to something, someone, or somewhere?&#8221; drawing inspiration from the Chinese character <em>hui<\/em>, which means <em>to return<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-bu-buniverse alignwide wp-block-global-buniverse\"><div class=\"wp-block-global-buniverse-wrapper\"><iframe src=\"\/\/www.bu.edu\/buniverse\/interface\/embed\/embed.html?v=aalz30&amp;jsapi=1\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"autoplay; fullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The actual space of Stone Gallery is inviting. Located on the first floor of the CFA building (at 855 Commonwealth Avenue), passersby walking along Commonwealth Avenue can look into the gallery, seeing dramatic arched windows that contain special protective tint. Stone Gallery welcomes all, regardless of a patron&#8217;s experience in the arts.
