Ms. Selig is also passionate about teaching and mentoring the next generation of singers, currently serving on the voice faculties of Wellesley College, Brown University, and the summer Boston University Tanglewood Institute.<\/p>\n<p>During recent seasons, Ms. Selig has appeared as Micaela in <em>Carmen<\/em> with Dayton Opera; Sybil Vane in Liebermann\u2019s <em>The Picture of Dorian Gray<\/em> with Odyssey Opera; Pamina in <em>The Magic Flute<\/em> with Boston Lyric Opera; Musetta in <em>La Boheme<\/em> and Zerlina in <em>Don Giovanni<\/em> with Central City Opera; Rose in <em>Street Scene<\/em> with Chautauqua Opera; both Curley\u2019s Wife in Carlisle Floyd\u2019s <em>Of Mice and Men<\/em> and Donna Elvira in <em>Don Giovanni<\/em> with Kentucky Opera; and Bella in Tippett\u2019s <em>A Midsummer Marriage<\/em> with Boston Modern Orchestra Project.<\/p>\n<p>On the concert stage, recent highlights include Amphytrite in Purcell\u2019s <em>The Tempest<\/em> with The Henry Purcell Society of Boston; Mozart\u2019s <em>Requiem<\/em> with Brown University; Strauss songs with Wheeling Symphony Orchestra; the US premiere of C. Herbert Parry\u2019s <em>Invocation to Music<\/em> with Harvard-Radcliffe Chorus; Brahms\u2019 <em>Requiem<\/em> with Buffalo and Dayton Philharmonics; Bach <em>Cantatas 36, 92 and 97<\/em> with Boston\u2019s Handel and Haydn Society; Orff\u2019s Carmina <em>Burana<\/em> with Fairbanks Symphony; Haydn\u2019s <em>Creation<\/em> with Harvard University Choirs; Gorecki\u2019s <em>Symphony No. 3<\/em> with Kentucky Symphony; Bach\u2019s <em>St. Matthew Passion<\/em> with Masterworks Chorale and Handel\u2019s <em>Messiah<\/em> with Rhode Island Philharmonic.<\/p>\n<p>Recordings include Marcia Kraus\u2019 <em>Three Fairy Tales for Soprano, Oboe and Piano<\/em> with Centaur Records and both Virgil Thomson\u2019s <em>Four Saints in Three Acts<\/em> and Paul Moravec\u2019s <em>Blizzard Voices<\/em> with Boston Modern Orchestra Project and BMOP Sound.<\/p>\n<p>Ms. Selig earned an Artist Diploma in Opera and MM in Voice degrees from Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and a summa cum laude BM\/BA in Voice and English from the University of Michigan.
