You will register with your program as well as receive your housing information. <span>Detailed registration day schedules and information will be sent to students approximately one month before the start of their program.<\/span><span><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>10am \u2013 4pm | Registration and Move-in*<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>5pm | Opening Ceremony and Cookout<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Not applicable for Piano Program Session II registration<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Campus Orientation and program meetings to follow<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>*<\/strong>Registration time for the Complete Musician Workshop is between 5:00p and 7:00p.<\/p>\n<ul><\/ul>\n<h4>Opening Ceremony &amp; Cookout**<\/h4>\n<p>The Opening Ceremony welcomes everyone to Boston University Tanglewood Institute. The cookout directly follows the event on the back lawn of West Street Campus. There is no additional charge to students for the cookout. Additional guests may pre-purchase tickets for $15 each. The specific form can be found in the \u2018Student Life Packet\u2019 and must include separate payment.<\/p>\n<p>**Opening ceremonies and cookout will only take place on June 21 and July 5.<\/p>\n<h4>\u201cSo, Your Child Wants to Major in Music?\u201d<span>\u00a0<\/span><em>Parent Information Session<\/em><\/h4>\n<p>Geared toward parents, but students welcome, too! Learn more about what it really means to major in music from music admissions professionals. More information will be included in your program\u2019s schedules.<\/p>\n<h4>Program Meetings<\/h4>\n<p>Meetings for students in a BUTI Young Artists Program will be conducted on <strong>Sunday, July 5, 2026, at approximately 7:00 P.M<\/strong>. Meeting locations for all programs will be provided at registration.<\/p>\n<h4>Campus Orientation Meetings<\/h4>\n<p>West Street Campus orientation meetings will be conducted for students who move in during the registration weekends as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sunday, June 21, 2026 \u2013 7:00pm \u2013 West Street Campus Theater<\/li>\n<li>Sunday, July 5, 2026 \u2013 8:30pm \u2013 West Street Campus Theater<\/li>\n<li>Sunday, July 27, 2026 \u2013 7:30pm \u2013 Groton Place Library<\/li>\n<li>Monday, August 3, 2026 \u2014 7:30pm \u2014 Location TBA<br \/>\n*<em>Times subject to change.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It is<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong>mandatory<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>for you to attend the orientation meeting scheduled on your registration weekend, as well as a dorm floor meeting, which will follow at curfew (10:30pm) in your residence with your Student Community Leaders.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Registration Day Schedule Registration is held at Groton Place on West Street Campus.
