Use this form to request additional lessons not provided in your program(s) of study. Although this form is usually used by instrumentalists in our ensemble programs, any student can fill out this form to request additional lessons.<\/p>\n
One-on-one private instruction is included in the curricula of the Young Artists Instrumental Program (three lessons). Students will be assigned a faculty member for private instruction at the beginning of the summer. Students should not request a specific instructor for lessons that are included in their curriculum.<\/p>\n
Students also have the opportunity to request private instruction that extends beyond what is provided in their curriculum. These requests may be submitted via this form.<\/p>\n
BUTI cannot guarantee accommodation of all extra lesson requests but will do what is possible to make arrangements. Students are not permitted to arrange their own private lessons and must coordinate extra lessons with the BUTI Private Lessons Coordinator.<\/p>\n
Students 18 and older may submit this form on their own behalf. Parents must submit this form if their student is under the age of 18. The lessons coordinator will be in contact with students starting in mid- to late- June regarding all lessons requests.<\/p>\n
Students are financially responsible for any lessons outside of their curriculum. When a student requests a lesson and confirms their intent to take the lesson, the student is liable for any associated costs. BUTI faculty typically charge $100 per hour and BSO members\/guest artists\u2019 fees vary. Payment is to be rendered directly to the instructor providing the extra lesson(s) at the time of the lesson. Students should have a payment method available to them at the time of their lesson (check to the lesson provider or cash).<\/p>\n
