Masters candidates are allowed five years from the date of admission to complete degree or certificate requirements. Doctoral candidates are allowed seven years from the date of admission to complete all degree requirements. Consideration of extensions beyond the five-year limit for Masters students occur only through the below Extension of Time Petition. Online DMA students seeking to request extensions beyond the seven-year limit should fill out this form.<\/a><\/p>\n

There is no guarantee that a student will be granted an Extension of Time through submitting this form; all petitions are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Leaves of Absence do not extend the five or seven-year limit. The deadline for this petition is March 1 for Fall registration and October 1 for Spring registration.<\/p>\n
