VASI Tuition and Costs<\/h3>\n

The tuition rate for summer 2026 is $3,900.*<\/p>\n

* Rates are subject to final approval by the Board of Trustees.<\/p>\n

Students will be responsible for bringing and\/or purchasing some of their own art supplies. Supply costs are estimated to be $300, and students will be provided with a supply list prior to the start of the program.<\/p>\n

Scholarship Opportunities<\/h3>\n

Prospective students may consider applying to the Naomi Rabb Winston Scholarship in Two-Dimensional Art, a scholarship that supports young artists ages 16-22. The scholarship awards up to $10,000 each year for supplementary art education programs like VASI. Learn more about the scholarship.<\/a><\/p>\n

Past VASI students have also found scholarship opportunities through their school districts, local arts councils, chambers of commerce, and other such organizations.<\/p>\n

College Credit<\/h3>\n

After successful completion of\u00a0 VASI, students earn 3 college credits, transferrable to most institutions the student will later attend.\u00a0 For comparison, one (1) Boston University credit in 2024-2025 costs approximately $2,083.<\/p>\n

Withdrawal Refund Schedule<\/h3>\n

The withdrawal refund schedule, of tuition only, for the Visual Arts Summer Institute is as follows:<\/p>\n

  • 100%: Before the start of class (excluding the $80 application fee and $300 deposit)<\/li>\n
  • 80%: Prior to the last class meeting of the first week*<\/li>\n
  • 0%: After the last class of the first week*
