The CFA Opera Institute performed Igor Stravinsky\u2019s The Rake\u2019s Progress,<\/em> about a libertine who attempts to relive his life by making a bargain with Nick Shadow\u2014the Devil himself? Only his ever-faithful fianc\u00e9e, Anne Trulove, can save him from damnation, but is that enough? Composed by Igor Stravinsky, with a libretto by W. H. Auden and Chester Kallman, it played at the Joan & Edgar Booth Theatre Thursday, February 27, through Sunday, March 1, 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
