Boston University ensembles united for a powerful celebration of artistry, tradition, and innovation. <\/strong>Boston University Symphony Orchestra<\/strong>, Wind Ensemble<\/strong>, and Symphonic Chorus<\/strong> returned to Boston’s iconic Symphony Hall for a special evening concert on Monday, April 13. <\/p><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

From the vibrant rhythms of Jessie Montgomery\u2019s Coincident Dances<\/em>\u2014a dazzling fusion of styles shaped by one of today\u2019s most compelling living composers\u2014to the spiritual grandeur of Stravinsky\u2019s Symphony of Psalms<\/em>, commissioned by the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the program honored both the past and the pulse of contemporary creativity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The evening culminated with Beethoven\u2019s monumental Symphony No. 9<\/em>, bringing together the Boston University Symphony Orchestra, Symphonic Chorus, and soloists in the timeless \u201cOde to Joy,” a transcendent masterpiece that reminds us of music\u2019s enduring power to unite and uplift.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
