Students receive individual instruction, engage in multiple semesters of ensemble participation, and complete required coursework in music theory and music history. This minor is intended for student musicians with previously substantive music experiences\u2014those who wish to expand upon established musical skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div I wear many hats as a BU student, and it&#8217;s a place for me to return to my passion for music. I have met many of my closest friends through music, so I often feel most authentic when I\u2019m surrounded by other artists. At BU, I serve as a Class of 2027 Kilachand Leadership Advisory Board Representative and  Outreach and Engagement Staffer for Student Government\u2019s Department of Academic Affairs. As an engaged alum of Boston BEAM (a high school pathway program) at the New England Conservatory, I\u2019ve become connected with leading arts administrators in the area and I\u2019m serving on the Boston Symphony Orchestra\u2019s Host Committee for the next Concert for the City at Symphony Hall.
