Boston University College of Fine Arts<\/a> (CFA) School of Music presents a free concert at Symphony Hall<\/a> in Boston on Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at 8:00 pm. The concert highlights the School\u2019s exceptional ensembles, including Boston University Symphony Orchestra, Symphonic Chorus, and Wind Ensemble, in an enthusiastic return to live performance. Maestro James Burton<\/a> of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, BU\u2019s new Director of Orchestral Activities, leads the Symphony Orchestra and Symphonic Chorus performing Brahms\u2019 German Requiem<\/em> with choral director Mariah Wilson<\/a>. David Martins<\/a> conducts the Wind Ensemble performing \u2018The Cowboys\u2019 from the motion picture\u00a0The Cowboy and the Girl<\/em> by John Williams, and Our New Day Begun<\/em> by Omar Thomas.<\/p>\n

The event marks the start of a year of celebrations marking 150 years of Boston University School of Music, which was founded in 1872. Learn more about the milestone and the sesquicentennial\u2019s signature events series at www.bu.edu\/cfa\/bumusic150<\/a>.<\/p>\n
