Kyna Hamill

Kyna Hamill is the Director of the Boston University College of Arts & Sciences Core Curriculum and sometimes teaches dramatic literature in BU’s School of Theatre. She specializes in the iconography of the commedia dell’arte, Early Modern theatre and visual culture, and theatre semiotics. She has published articles in Theatre Survey, Print QuarterlyTheatre Symposium and The Companion to World Literature. She also edited They Fight: Classical to Contemporary Stage Fight Scenes, a collection of stage combat scenes, with special attention paid to diverse weaponry and scenes for women. Kyna’s co-authored play, Mirabilis, will be featured in the SOT season in Fall 2020.
