Boston University College of Fine Arts School of Music presents "From Practice to Performance" as part of the School of Music's Career Development Workshop Series, featuring renowned guest speakers who share their insights, challenges, and innovative approaches toward successful careers in the arts.

Join acclaimed violinist Sirena Huang for a fully interactive career development workshop following her recital with Chih-Yi Chen. Drawing on her experiences in competitions, auditions, and performances, Sirena will discuss her approaches to preparation and how her mindset has evolved across different stages of her musical career.

The workshop, held at BU's Joan & Edgar Booth Theatre Yan Luo Lobby, will also examine how technical training, effective practice strategies as well as performance psychology support sustainable, long-term career growth. Participants are encouraged to engage in open discussion and ask questions about competition planning, auditions, career pathways, and the broader realities of life as a professional musician.
