Community Art & Wellbeing
Whether you consider yourself an artist, a doodler, or simply a student looking for a break from the usual, BU Arts Initiative’s community art events offer the outlet to be as creative as you want to be. Bring a friend or meet new Terriers and make, experience, and explore art at BU and in Boston.
Visiting Artist Residencies
BU Arts Initiative welcomes artist residencies to Boston University each academic year. Developed in coordination with BU faculty, these outstanding visiting artists and scholars are presented in partnership with specific academic programs and are open to the BU community.
Fall Arts Fair
BU Arts Initiative invites the BU community as we showcase arts programs, student groups, and events at BU as well as dozens of Boston-area arts organizations.
Art in Boston (Memberships & Discounts)

Passport to the Arts
Stay connected to the arts on campus with BU Arts Initiative’s Passport to the Arts app. Get access to all the art events on campus and curate your arts experience. Get reminders about events and check in to be eligible for specific prizes at the end of the year.
Public Art at BU
Boston University’s Charles River Campus is home to sculptures, murals, and installations. Get to know the art you see on campus and the artists who created these pieces.
Boston Now
BU Arts Initiative has a long-standing partnership with BU College of Arts & Sciences Writing Program Boston Now which features a number of courses that use the arts as topics for the teaching of writing skills.
Global Music Festival
The BU Global Music Festival is an annual celebration of music cultures around the world featuring high-caliber, international artists as well as vibrant local musical communities, bringing the wider musical world to the doorstep of thousands of students, adults, young people, and families throughout the Boston area.
