Booth Theatre Wins SARA Award
Joan & Edgar Booth Theatre and College of Fine Arts Production Center has won a SARA (The Society of American Registered Architects) National 2019 Award of Honor. The award was presented at an awards ceremony in Chicago in conjunction with their National Conference.
SARA is an organization of architectural professionals—It’s a little bit different from your typical professional association. SARA was founded in 1956 by maverick architect Wilfred Gregson FARA, and it has survived and thrived for over six decades since. There are active chapters and councils throughout the country, supporting the national organization.
Designed by internationally-recognized Elkus | Manfredi Architects, this complex was one of the last projects that internationally acclaimed architect and urban designer Howard Elkus designed before he passed away. The construction for this complex was managed by the Bond Brothers.
