Libraries at CFA

Music Curriculum Library
The collections of the CFA Music Curriculum Library are comprised largely of performance materials (study and research materials can be found at the Mugar Music Library). Parts for all BU music major ensembles are distributed through here. Additionally, patrons can find solo and small ensemble music, scores, and music education resources.

Visual Arts Resource Library
The Visual Arts Resource Library is a non-circulating collection of books, exhibition catalogues, directories, magazines, and sound and video recordings available for SVA students and faculty. New books are added annually, and acquisition recommendations are always welcome. In addition to housing an over 6,000-volume reference collection, which includes many rare and unique items, the library frequently hosts events, including the School’s Artist Development Series, a lecture and workshop series targeted at career development education for young artists.

School of Theatre Evangeline Machlin Script Library
The School of Theatre maintains a library of 2000+ theatrical scripts ranging from classics to contemporary theatrical work for student use. The Machlin Script Library is supplemented by a collection of media on theatrical history and craft; film & TV resources including screenplays and DVDs; monthly theatrical media publications; MFA thesis projects from SOT history; and more. The library is open to all CFA students in room 470, the SOT office.
