As Academic Programs Administrator, Elena Ramos plays a vital role within the CELOP Academic Programs team, responsible for managing and implementing logistics for CELOP’s professional, high school, group, and custom program activities.

Prior to joining BU CELOP, Elena completed a Fulbright grant in São Luís, Maranhão, Brazil as an English professor at the Universidade Federal do Maranhão. She has held various educational roles such as Assistant Dean of Students and Lead Teacher for the Intensive English Program at the University of Dayton and many more during the past nine years.

Elena earned her Bachelor of Arts in International Studies with a concentration in Global Education and a minor in English from the University of Dayton. She also earned a certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). Elena has traveled to more than 10 countries in Latin America. Having lived in Brazil for 9 months, she can speak Portuguese and considers herself a language fanatic who also speaks Spanish and English fluently.
