The project focused on understanding communications between border zone cardiomyocytes and fibroblasts; and improving upon the integration of cardiomyocytes engraftments.<br \/>\n<div class=\"bu_collapsible_container \" aria-live=\"polite\" data-customize-animation=\"false\"><h3 class=\"bu_collapsible\" aria-expanded=\"false\"tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\">More about My Experience<\/h3><div class=\"bu_collapsible_section\" style=\"display: none;\"><br \/>\nBorn in San Antonio, Texas, Genevieve Vega discovered her passion for biomedical engineering doing medical research in high school.
