The topic of her project was &#8220;Characterization of Cardiomyocyte Integration within an In Vitro Engraftment Platform&#8221;.<\/p>\n<div class=\"bu_collapsible_container \" aria-live=\"polite\" data-customize-animation=\"false\"><h3 class=\"bu_collapsible\" aria-expanded=\"false\"tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\">More about My Experience<\/h3><div class=\"bu_collapsible_section\" style=\"display: none;\"><br \/>\nBorn and raised in Costa Rica, Lea Hebert was a junior at Grambling State University studying Biology when she joined the REU program.
