Sharvari worked in the Chen Lab<\/a> with graduate student mentor, Xining Gao. During this project,\u00a0her lab partnered with Harvard Medical. Sharvari did a lot of cell work with cardiomyocytes and aimed to create a 2D assay that normalizes the heart cells in a high-throughput manner.<\/p>\n

Sharvari is from Pennsylvania and attended the University of Delaware where she majored in biomedical engineering. She applied to the REU program in hopes of gaining knowledge on research and new techniques. As a rising senior, she also used this opportunity to see what it’s like to be a Boston University graduate student.<\/p>\n
