Outreach
All three core institutions have active K-12 Outreach programs. With the NSF ERC CELL-MET, we can pilot new activities and study longer-term outcomes of these programs. Using familiar NSF formats such as Research Experiences for Teachers, Research Experiences for Undergraduates, and Research Experiences in Mentoring, we can collectively develop similar programs at all three campuses. Being part of the ERC, we are fortunate to be able to review our own institutional programs to determine those that have developed outcomes that align with the ERC strategic plan and allow us to work together to take strong and successful programs from each of our institutions and implement them at the others.
