This <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/articles\/2025\/whats-it-like-to-be-an-infectious-diseases-outbreak-responder\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">interactive forum<\/a>, co-hosted by CEID and the Museum of Science, engaged participants to walk through the decision-making process of responding to infectious disease threats such as avian influenza and Ebola.<\/p>\n<p>Participants worked together to consider the many factors that play into these decisions, including availability of funding, testing and surveillance development, global partnerships, distribution of medical countermeasures, and alerts from the Biothreats Emergence, Analysis and Communications Network (<a href=\"http:\/\/beaconbio.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">BEACON<\/a>).
