Lina Chaito, MPH
Outbreak Analyst, BEACON Senior Epidemiologist, Lebanon Ministry of Public Health
Lina holds a Master’s degree in Public Health (MPH) and has completed the ECDC advanced field epidemiology training (MediPIET) as well as the GOARN Berlin Fellowship Program. She currently serves as a Senior Epidemiologist at the Ministry of Public Health in Lebanon. In this role, she has led numerous outbreak investigations and overseen vaccine-preventable disease surveillance, with a particular focus on measles. More recently, she has contributed to strengthening event-based surveillance systems in Lebanon to enhance timely detection and response. She has also conducted multiple epidemiological studies. In addition, she has served as a facilitator in both local and international training programs, supporting the capacity-building of healthcare providers and surveillance teams in public health intelligence (PHI), surveillance, and reporting.
