Are we better off in terms of the technologies, policies, & procedures available to detect emerging infectious disease threats now than we were prior to the COVID-19 pandemic? Have we as a country improved the equity and efficiency of our response to infectious diseases? What challenges still lie ahead to meet these needs? This event will explore the roles that government, academia, and the private sector play in early detection of and response to infectious diseases within the United States. Featuring two panel discussions and a keynote address by Dr. Paul Friedrichs, Inaugural Director of the White House Office of Pandemic Preparedness and Response Policy (OPPR)
