She holds a Bachelor\u2019s degree in Biology and Applied Mathematics and a Master\u2019s degree in Biology from Marshall University. While at Marshall, she conducted research in plant phylogeny and neuropharmacology, publishing her first paper as a first author during her undergraduate studies. She also carried out research focused on modeling and predicting the reproductive success of freshwater mussels in the Ohio River based on environmental attributes.<\/p>\n<p>Born in India and raised in West Virginia, Vishnupriya began her professional career in Boston as a Model Validation Analyst at the catastrophic risk company AIR Worldwide. She later moved to Washington state to start a family and is now based in South Florida.
