This past summer, CDS welcomed Erin Murdock as our new Financial Manager.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"Erin, a self-proclaimed lover of spreadsheets, will apply her talents to \u201censure all CDS faculty, staff, and general operating accounts are regularly updated to help enable accurate forecasting,\u201d she says. \u201cI want to ensure our budgets and projections are readable and dynamic documents.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Erin is a familiar face around campus, as she spent a large portion of her career working towards the betterment of BU. BU\u2019s School of Law, Student Activities Office, College of Engineering, Sargent College, and the College of Arts and Sciences have all had the pleasure of working alongside her in a number of dynamic roles that extend beyond finance. \u201cI\u2019ve been able to find outlets to incorporate that experience and my background in DEI work into a lot of my roles at BU, which I am grateful for,\u201d she explains.<\/span><\/p>\n

She\u2019s already acclimating to her new position and forming connections, exemplified by her training and running a half marathon with some friends and coworkers also from CDS and CAS CS. \u201cOur faculty is so remarkable, and our students are the future of CDS \u2014 it\u2019s exciting to be a witness to all of this,\u201d she says.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Erin earned a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies and Gender Studies from Mount Holyoke College. She also holds a certificate in Queer, Trans, and Sexuality Studies. Expect Erin to turn her tassel again soon, as she works towards a Master of Business Administration from Questrom School of Business. Even more impressive \u2014 this would make her a \u201cdouble terrier\u201d as she has already received her Master of Education from BU’s Wheelock College of Education and Human Development<\/span>. <\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
