Whether it’s a proud stage walk snap, a group photo with friends or family, or your graduation pictures, share these photos with CDS by uploading them here<\/a>!<\/p>\n The Faculty of Computing & Data Sciences 2025 Convocation Ceremony was held on Saturday, May 17, and is exclusive to CDS students (undergraduates, master\u2019s, and Ph.D. candidates). Convocation in May is the only event where student names are called by Degree Programs.<\/p>\n Saturday, May 17, 2025, 10 AM.\u00a0 Student Check-in was at 9 AM.<\/p>\n Boston University Case Gym, 285 Babcock St., Boston, MA 02215<\/p>\n Tickets for graduates and their guests were not required.<\/strong><\/p>\n BU Shuttle provided free service throughout the weekend. Find out more information on parking, public transportation,and rideshare opportunities here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n The Faculty of Computing & Data Sciences was proud to welcome Marjorie Hsu (ENG\u201986, Questrom\u201993)<\/strong> as the 2025 Convocation Speaker. A trailblazing technology executive with decades of leadership in both global corporations and innovative startups, Marjorie brings a wealth of experience at the intersection of engineering, business, and impact. Her career spans pivotal roles at Verizon Wireless, SingTel, and TE2, where she has led transformative initiatives in network strategy, customer experience, and digital innovation. A two-time BU alumna and current Advisory Board member for CDS, Marjorie exemplifies the spirit of leadership, resilience, and vision we strive to instill in our graduates.<\/p>\n Her professional journey reflects an extraordinary blend of strategic insight, technical expertise, and entrepreneurial drive, as outlined below.<\/p>\n After a corporate career, Marjorie pivoted to the excitement of start-ups. As Chief Revenue Officer and VP of Global Business Development for The Experience Engine (TE2), she built a robust pipeline of clients and channel partnerships with global brands for this data orchestration middleware platform that enables enterprises to create personalized customer experiences at large venues.<\/p>\n After retiring from Verizon Wireless, Marjorie was recruited to provide her innovation and executive leadership to SingTel. As the company\u2019s Chief Technology Officer and Managing Director of Networks, Marjorie\u2019s organization executed on the wireless, fiber, and IPTV strategies in Singapore while collaborating on vision and roadmap with SingTel affiliates across SE Asia and Australia.<\/p>\n Marjorie\u2019s 27-year career at Verizon Wireless culminated in her role as VP of Wireless Network Administration with a multi-functional team of 150 employees and 6 direct reports. She established operational excellence and best practices across network security, network real estate, field operations assurance, FCC and FAA compliance, and transport services.<\/p>\n As VP of Services Technology, Marjorie built and led a team of 120 engineers and user-centered design experts to create products and services for FiOS consumers, SMB, and enterprises.
