Avanade Partnership Reaches New Heights
The Avanade STEM Scholarship Program supports students in pursuing educational and career goals in STEM fields. As a Faculty of Computing & Data Sciences (CDS) partner, Avanade, a global professional services company providing IT consulting and services, offers mentorship, career development, Microsoft technical training and certifications, and internship opportunities through its Ambassador and Fellowship program. Throughout the year, CDS students will engage in a Data & AI workshop, shadow Avanade mentors, and participate in a networking skills workshop, culminating in a June 2025 conference.
To kick off the fall semester, Avanade hosted over 40 data science students, faculty, and staff from the Faculty of Computing & Data Sciences for the 2024-25 Avanade STEM Program meeting. The two-hour reception was held at the company's Boston location and Clinical Assistant Professor of Computing & Data Sciences and Director of Undergraduate Studies Tanima Chatterjee and Avanade leadership were featured speakers. In October, Avanade held a networking workshop at CDS and over thirty data science majors attended the half day program.
