After graduation, I plan to pursue either medical school or a PhD program, with a focus on neurology, whether in a clinical or research setting. At the Center for Brain Recovery, I am currently involved in projects aimed at better understanding language processing in individuals with aphasia. One project explores emotional reactivity and neural activity using a movie-watching paradigm to more holistically characterize aphasic language processing. Another project uses eye-tracking methods to investigate post-stroke reading difficulties in Spanish-English bilinguals with aphasia, with the goal of helping us better understand literacy challenges in aphasia. I am also an intern for the C.H.A.T.
