The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/innovate\/build-your-idea\/newventurecompetition\/\">New Venture Competition (NVC)<\/a> is Innovate@BU\u2019s largest annual competition and awards $64,000 to early-stage BU entrepreneurs. Albert Jimenez (CGS\u201916, CAS\u201918, Wheelock\u201921), Yasmin Morais (CAS\u201918), and Abhishek Valivarthi (Sargent\u201921) won the top prize, which includes $18,000 towards the growth of their start-up, RefEd. Their app provides education resources to refugee students.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, Rishab Nayak (CAS\u201921), with Madison Rifkin, a senior at Northeastern University, won in the <span>general ideas track<\/span> for Mount, which sells fleets of electric scooters.
