Pardee School of Global Studies and College of Arts &amp; Sciences professor of international relations and of political science, won the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.gf.org\/fellows\/all-fellows\/vivien-a-schmidt\/\">John Simon Guggenheim Fellowship<\/a>. The grant will help Schmidt advance her research\u00a0on\u00a0the \u201crhetoric of discontent\u201d in our modern political landscape.<\/p>\n<p>Schmidt is one of 175 people this year to receive a Guggenheim, among the most notable honors in academia.
